Sean started playing drums at the age of 10. His parents were both music lovers and exposed Sean to bands like The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and Wings. It was Sean's older brother Chris however, who unknowingly ignited Sean's passion to play by forcing him to repeatedly listen to his favorite album, Master Of Puppets, by Metallica. Chris also played the drums and when he wasn't home Sean would sneak down stairs and bang on his drums.
Sean progressed through the band programs in middle and high school and once he graduated, started teaching at multiple schools and private one on one lessons full time. Word started spreading about the new kid on the scene, and Sean started performing three to four nights a week in different rock and blues bands in bars and restaurants in town, and all at the age of 17. During this time Sean earned spots opening for acts like Hoobastank, Ashanti , Fat Joe, Molly Hatchet and Drowning Pool.
Now in 2018 Sean is currently an active session and touring drummer in Nashville TN. He is the founder of the Sean Deel Foundation (www.seandeelfoundation.org), which assists with providing the right equipment to students of all ages. The foundation also promotes the creation of educational programs and lessons that encourage the art of drumming. Sean also owns and implements a new clothing line; Grind It Out Clothing (www.grinditoutclothing.com). While performing full time on the road, pursuing his quest for entrepreneurial success, running the Sean Deel Foundation and having Grind It Out Clothing, Sean won't be slowing down any time soon! In fact, he is just getting started!
